"10 blocks" is a way of saying close to home. We partner with organizations already working in our neighborhoods, so every volunteer shift counts from day one. The work depends on the organization, so here are a few examples of what it can look like.
Help parks groups, community gardens, and block associations look after the spaces your neighbors share, from planting to the occasional cleanup.
Help at food pantries, senior centers, and meal programs by packing groceries, delivering meals, or keeping an older neighbor company.
Pitch in at libraries, tutoring programs, and local nonprofits by helping with events, homework help, or whatever they need most that week.
Food pantries, community gardens, senior centers, libraries, and cleanup crews are often looking for extra hands. Just 10 Blocks brings a group of young volunteers to serve alongside them, so friends can show up and help together. When there's a need no group is covering, we're open to starting a small project of our own.
